"There are only four kinds of people in the world:
those who have been caregivers;
those who are currently caregivers;
those who will be caregivers;
those who will need caregivers.”
- Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter
Who is a caregiver? You are a caregiver if you are providing care for a loved one or friend from doing grocery shopping, scheduling medical appointments and/or providing the transportation, paying bills, and living in your home or living in a care facility. No matter how small it may be, you are in a caregiving role. As caregivers, one of the most important things we can do – both for ourselves and for our care recipient is to take care of ourselves. Part of taking care of ourselves is to know the resources available to us. This site is a resource for persons providing care to adults, and contains a listing of organizations that provide information, services, support and education. This site was made possible through an Eastern District Resource Management Grant to Oconto County
UW-Exention, Cooperative Extension.
